It’s all Green to me

The swell Steve has been partaking in plenty of painting in my ”office” this past week, leaving me a little computerless and a lot dizzy off of paint fumes. There was a lot of hype about this behind-the-scenes revamp  (not that you would know this, unless you lurk in the shadows of the theater, which must be quite easy to do, I imagine. It’s just spooky enough for one to creep around successfully). Well, the new paint color is up, and the results are (almost) unanimous! “It makes the room seem so much calmer,” raves Claire. “I really like it!” praises Ralph.

Now, I consider myself to be quite a creative child. I love to take my trashy fashion mags and construct complex and colorful collages. I think getting dressed in the morning is a treat (and a valuable form of self-expression). I even deem assembling a proper sentence a bit of an art form (Heck, you wouldn’t believe how many times I edit these blog entries: “Whoops, used that verb twice in one entry!”; “Do I really want to use a pronoun there?”; “Is this sassy while not crossing a professional or an offensive line?”; “Is the spacing aesthetically pleasing?” ;”BY THE BEARD OF ZEUS, WHY DOES THIS BLOG KEEP REFORMATTING ITSELF??”; “Is there enough alliteration?” ) .

Further, I love interior design shows on HGTV. (In fact, due to my recent discovery that the carpenters on “Trading Spaces” are not real carpenters but actually actors–tricky, tricky, TLC–I’m thinking I might even be able to earn myself a spot on HGTV, hosting a show and letting other people do the dirty work, like recovering the furniture and installing  the pendant lights). I appreciate the subtle details in life, really, is the point I’m trying to convey to you. However…

…I don’t care if you proudly galavant around calling yourself “Sage” or “Forest.” YOU’RE STILL GREEN.
